The Livy Method is designed for gradual, sustainable weight loss, focusing on holistic health rather than quick fixes. Be prepared to commit to the full 91 days and approach it with patience
2. Familiarize Yourself with the Program
Take your time.
Before starting, review the welcome guide in the app or support group. Check out the Overview of the Program, FAQ and get a sense of how the program works. If you are looking to read ahead, pick up a copy of the Program Guide on an Amazon near you.Â

3. Start to Incorporate some of our Core Principles into your Daily Routine.
By implementing these habits now, you can start to work towards your goals, but you will also be well-prepared to fully dive into the Livy Method when the program officially starts.
Eat Whole, Unprocessed Foods
Start focusing on consuming a diet rich in vegetables, fruits, lean proteins, healthy fats, and whole grains. Avoid processed foods, refined sugars, and excessive carbohydrates.
Hydrate Consistently
Drinking enough water is a key aspect of the Livy Method. Start making it a habit to stay hydrated throughout the day, aiming for around 2-3 liters daily, depending on your body's needs.
Portion Awareness
Begin paying attention to portion sizes. The Livy Method encourages listening to your body’s hunger cues and adjusting portions accordingly. You can start practicing mindful eating, slowing down during meals, and stopping when you're satisfied.
Incorporate Movement
While the Livy Method doesn’t require strict exercise, we do stress the importance of moving your body. If you are new to exercise, you can begin integrating light physical activities like walking, stretching, or yoga into your routine or by incorporating movement you enjoy to support overall well-being.
Focus on Sleep and Self-Care
Quality sleep and self-care are essential aspects of the Livy Method. Begin prioritizing restful sleep and implementing stress-reducing activities like meditation, journaling, or simply taking time for yourself.
Mindset Preparation
The Livy Method places a strong emphasis on a positive mindset. You can start setting intentions and reflecting on why you want to embark on this journey. Mental preparation will help you stay committed when the program begins.
4. Start Following the Basic Food Plan
On the Livy Method, we do provide a Food Plan for you to follow, where each week has a different focus and tweak that is outlined by the weekly Guidelines. Â

When following the program you will quickly come to realize that healthy sustainable weight is so much more than what you are eating and when and there is lots to discuss.Working through your issues and associations with food, taking into account your past diet history, habits, beliefs, and coping mechanisms can all factor into your weight loss journey.

When starting the Livy Method, finding your "why" can be a game changer when it comes to staying motivated. Connecting with the deeper reasons behind your desire to lose weight can be key to your success. So many of our members have lost weight before the official first day of the program. We have every reason to believe you can be successful, but please don’t be discouraged if you don’t see the scale move, or if you lose a few pounds, but they come back over the holidays.
